Internal Linking To Boost Search Results

Free Internet Marketing Resources

There are many different methods to help your web page show up on Google. Many webmasters spend their whole day trying to find the next best secret method to raise their web site in search engine listings. This is a very important part of marketing and getting more traffic to your website, but most people look to external sources to get the results they are looking for when it comes to seo.

You may have heard of the terms “on page seo” and this term refers to what and how you can change content that is on your own website to boost search results. This is what I am going to talk about a little bit in this article. Yes, back links must be one of the biggest factors when it comes to getting listed on Google and especially on the first page. However, many people forget that the easiest to change and the quickest results some times can come from your own site, not outsourcing links.

So what am I talking about?

I am referring to internal linking. There is a reason that Google webmaster tools has a section dedicated to internal links, its not just for looks!

Web sites normally have links to various sections, categories, or direct links to posts or pages. This is good and not only for Google for for humans as well. Adding standard navigation links should not be the end of your internal linking.

If you are familiar with search engine optimization, you already know that Google gives a higher ranking to words that are encapsulated in the tag and most times this is used for article or web page titles, so it lets the search engine know that this is the main topic of the page.

Now that being said, lets take that same method one step further.

I will start off by saying this is not a black hat seo trick, it is simply good seo methodology.

First we need to think about your site for minute, or at least you do. What is the main focus of your web page, where do you want visitors to go more than any where else on your page? Well, is it an opt in page, a sales letter, free download section?

Once you have narrowed it down to “the” most important page on your site, then we can focus on what search term you would want people to find this page in Google with. So hopefully you have it now, you know what page you want and what words you want that page ranked for.

Here’s what you do, make a link, with the link anchor text being what ever your keywords are and the link being the most important page of you site. Now, if you have a blog, you want this on every post, if you have a website, you want this on ever page!

Add this link using the tag again, to let Google know it’s important on all pages. What will happen is this, most sites have a link to their home page on ever page of the site, so Google assumes “this” is the important page. However in most cases that is not true, by adding a link to our “important” page on all of our posts with the tag, we have effectively told Google, This Is Our Important Page and These Are The Keywords That Are Related To It!

This is a great way to really boost your search engine ranking’s in no time flat; don’t forget to submit a new site map, or just submit your RSS feed again to automatically notify Google of the changes you have just made to your site.

Now just wait a while and check Google out, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

To Success,

Nick Simpson

Improve Your Google Ranking ? Full SEM Techniques

Get keyword elite and beat Google!

It is often said, by many search engine optimisation experts, that content is king. Others proclaim that a text linking strategy is king. The simple fact is, if you are to be successful in your site promotion efforts, all aspects of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) are essential to the mix.

SEM consists of all the elements that are required to successfully promote a website; with the objective being to improve a website’s ranking on Google, Yahoo and MSN and other major search engines. These elements may be classified as:

1) On-page optimisation (all the techniques involved in manipulating page content).
2) Off-page optimisation (all the techniques involved in website promotion).

A good way to think of it is: on-page optimisation is used to promote your product, service or information. Whereas off-page optimisation is used to promote your website.

On Page Optimisation.
Site Readiness - W3C Compliance:

Search engine robots do not like broken HTML code. Your rankings will suffer if your pages do not conform to World Wide Web (W3C) standards. A free online HTML validation service is available at: http://validator.w3.org/.
Search engines like Google now check CSS code, this must be validated also. A tool for this is available at: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/.

Site Readiness - Broken Links:

It should be obvious, but is often overlooked, that broken links are a problem in terms of search engine optimisation. Clearly, if the search engine robot cannot finish spidering your site, due to broken links, then some pages will not be indexed. A tool for checking broken links can be found at: http://validator.w3.org/checklink.

Site Readiness - Keyword Research:

Analyzing your niche market, or business sector, allows you to create an appropriate set of targeted keywords (the most obvious ones are not necessarily the best). A free keyword tool can be downloaded from: http://www.goodkeywords.com/.

Page optimisation - Copywriting

Once you have decided on the appropriate keywords/key phrases for each page, you need to work these keywords into the visible text on each page to be optimised. Remember that you are writing for users, not search engines, and the text must look natural.

Page optimisation - HTML Tag Optimisation

All the appropriate HTML tags on each page should be optimised for best effect. These include:
1) Title tag.
2) Meta keyword tag.
3) Meta description tag.
4) Header tags.
Also, don’t forget the image alt tags. And very importantly the link text in your anchor tags.
Page optimisation - Build content.
Keep adding new content to your website. If necessary publish articles and RSS feeds. Google loves new content.

Off Page Optimisation
Once you have finished the on-page optimisation, your attention needs to be focused on off-page optimisation. The essential components of off-page optimisation are:
1) Link building - begin a reciprocal and one way linking strategy.
2) Directory listings - get listed in human edited directories like Dmoz.
3) Article writing - a superb way to generate one way links.
4) Blog contributions - yet another opportunity for one way links.
5) Press releases - announce your presence to the world. More one way links.

Conclusion
All of the above are essential to a successful site promotion campaign. If you wish to improve your Google ranking (the other search engines will follow), do not neglect one area in favour of another. Do it correctly. Do it all. Then watch your rankings soar.

The Number ONE Thing Every Online Business Needs

Can you guess what every Internet business needs more the most? Although I am sure we would get a assortment of different answers many people probably could get this right.

For example some people probably think the product is the most crucial thing. I would certainly agree that without a quality product it is hard to have a successful Internet business.

However there are plenty of cases where people are earning a lot of money on the Internet selling sub par products.

Other people may think the most important thing is the design of your website. I can shoot that down pretty quickly because I have seen many websites that were poorly designed and yet the owner was making a full time income online.

Certainly selling top quality products on a poorly designed website will help you earn more. But these two things are not the number one thing every online business needs.

After seven years of doing Internet marketing I know for a matter of fact that the number one thing you must have to achieve something online is website traffic. Even if you represent the best products on the best website you will never sell anything if nobody comes and visits it.

This really is no different than an off line business. For example I have been to restaurants that were little hole in the walls. These are the kind of places that you do not know about unless someone refers you or you see an ad.

Yet when you get there you wait in line waiting to get a table. Chances are the food is extremely good, but how would you know unless you came in and ate?

The same thing is true online. You can have a insignificant website off in your own little corner of the World Wide Web and make money from home to the tune of hundred thousand dollars a year.

You do this through viral marketing, paid advertising, and free or nearly free advertising methods. This is the only way your Internet business is going to survive and make money.

If you do not get enough traffic to your website you will never make any sales. Unless you are doing this as a fad not making sales is a sure fire way to go out of business.

There are so many ways to promote an Internet business today that you really only need to learn a couple of them really well. Blog marketing and pay per click are two of the most popular wasy right now because they work.

You jsut need to learn a couple. Once you do this you will always have visitors and you can upgrade your website design and product offering to make more sales.

The Importance Of Keyword Research

Researching your Keywords is by far the most important step in starting out your search engine optimisation campaign. It is the terms that searchers will use to find what they are looking for.

If you do not target the right keywords, your customers will never find you and neither will the search engines. It is a waste of time and money to choose non-relevant keywords!

Remember that the keyword length is also a big factor in search engine optimisation. Searchers shorten their search terms and let Google do the rest of the work. If you can predict what people will search for to find you, then you are well on your way to successful SEO!

Below are the key areas you should be reviewing when choosing your keywords:

1. Write down a shortlist of the keywords that apply to your companies demographic
2. shorten this list of keywords to around 30 words and then choose the top 10, sorting by relevancy
3. How many people are searching for this term? Use one of Google?s keyword research tool and find the most popular terms for your specific business.
4. What is the competition? On the Google keyword research tool, you can find out the competition, and better gauge how to target this, with the amount of backlinking, etc that would be needed to reach your goal.

[spin] This is just a short introduction on how to properly research your keywords for search engine optimisation. As an SEO provider, we take care of all the hard work for you ,but it is not an easy endeavour when starting out against established competition

What?s In Store For The Future Of SEO?

Unfortunately, it doesn?t look bright. Right now, companies around the world have gained advanced knowledge from countless hours of testing tags, keywords, content and all kinds of other tips and tricks to gain page one on Google.

The techniques used now are essentially the same for every company. They start by optimising your on page factors, such as your page?s title tags, meta tags, keywords, and textual content to match that of your chosen keyword.

Even if you have a 100 percent on- the- page optimisation package, this still does not mean you are going to be on page one. There are other factors as to why your competition is at the top, even if their on the page optimisation is not up to the same quality as yours.

This is why current SEO practices cannot have a future. In order to gain top rankings, you have to apply some techniques which are an arduous and tedious at best. This practice is backlinking.
If you go to any top result website, and search for their backlinks (Google backlink check). You will notice that the top results have hundreds, if not thousands of backlinks. This is how people ?trick? Google in to displaying their sites as top results.
In essence this method adds your keywords and your sites link to blogs, forums, articles, and other online pages. When Google?s crawler looks for your website, it finds these links from all these places and assumes that your website is more important than the others, since there are more links. This results in top rankings. It is a lot of work to gain these results, and that is why companies charge thousands for it. It can be well worth it however, as your ROI can be great with first page results.

Google?s search algorithm will inevitably evolve over the next few years, and will evolve to a state where it will search for the quality of the content, and the quality of the company to specify the top results. This will eradicate backlinking.

Why Effective SEO Is Important For Effective Internet Marketing

Search engine optimization (SEO) should be considered as a critical element of any Internet marketing strategy. This is important because there is so much which can be gained from SEO in terms of Internet marketing and advertising. Failure to optimize your website for search engines can result in a considerable loss in terms of free advertising and traffic which is essentially gained from ranking well with search engines. This article will provide insight into what SEO is and will explain why Internet marketing requires at least some degree of SEO.

SEO optimization is a strategy in which a website is designed to obtain favorable search engine rankings from popular search engines. This may be achieved in a variety of different ways and optimal SEO strategies combine a variety of different strategies to complete one well orchestrated SEO campaign. There are several elements to consider when attempting to optimize your website for search engines. This may include keyword density, prominence, META tags, titles and inbound links. Keyword density is one of the most common SEO strategies and essentially involves using relevant keywords often in the content of a website to demonstrate the relevance of these keywords to the website. This is important because search engines are likely to reward websites with optimal keyword densities with favorable search engine rankings in an effort to provide Internet users with the most relevant websites for particular search terms.

The prominence of keywords should also be considered. This includes how close the keywords are placed to the beginning of the website. The common mistake with this strategy is to believe the first opportunity to incorporate keywords is in the first line of visible text on the webpage. This is not true because search engines crawl the code of a website as opposed to the visible content on the website. This means there are multiple opportunities to incorporate relevant keywords long before the actual visible content on the website. This might include the code for the title as well as the META tags. Business owners who realize the potential for incorporating keyword into the code gain an advantage over competitors who only incorporate keywords into the content on their website.

Another area of concern which is very important for those who are interested in SEO is inbound links. Inbound links are essentially links which reside on other websites and direct traffic to your website. These links are considered important because many search engines place a value on inbound links because they are essentially an example of one website recommending another website. However, when obtaining inbound links it is important to do so from other websites which rank well with search engines because many search engines consider the rank of the original website when determining the value of the inbound link.

Now that we have briefly explained some of the main concept of SEO, we will illustrate why it is important to optimize your website in the first place. SEO is so important because most Internet users highly value the results of search engines and are likely to only visit to ranking websites when they search for a particular keyword. Internet users trust search engines to serve the most relevant content first and are therefore not likely to visit websites which do not fall on the first or second page of search results. This means websites which rank well essentially are receiving a great deal of free advertising from search engines that place their website in a key position. Website owners who do not invest time into optimizing their websites miss out on a great deal of potential web traffic.

Utilise An SEO Specialist

Whether you’re just beginning to think about your presence online or you’ve been thinking that your site needs a major overhaul, there has never been a better time for you to start thinking about hiring a search engine optimization specialist. Search engines are the primary way that people get information about goods and services, and when you realize that about fifty percent of all purchases online are preceded by search engine use, you can see why an SEO specialist might be vital to your online operations.

There are many ways to make search engines work for you, and even if you are fairly web savvy, there is a good chance that you are only aware of the broadest ways in which search engines can bring people to your site. You are already aware that you can get plenty of hits from having your site appear high on a list of natural search results, but were you aware that there are many ways to make sure that your site appears there? Search engines are always increasing in sophistication and complexity, and at this point in time, it takes an SEO specialist to get the most out of them.

A good SEO specialist will work with your site and help you figure out ways to bring it to the top of the natural search results list. With tools like Google Analytics, you will be able to see the difference that he or she makes in your traffic, and you will also be able to see that the traffic they bring is relevant. Relevancy is one of the best things that an SEO specialist can offer you; they can make sure that the people who come to your site are actually interested in what you have to offer. It is actually fairly easy to bring people to your site, but making sure that they are the people who will stay and look around are another thing. A search engine optimization specialist is someone who will use ethical means to attract customers to your site.

Remember that an SEO specialist is someone who will be affecting the way that customers and browsers perceive your business, so make sure that you are working with someone that you are comfortable with. Take a look around and see if you can find any testimonials on his work, and ask him to broadly outline the techniques that he intends to use.

If you are not sure about anything or have any questions you should just ask. Any consultant out there with nothing to hide will gladly shed some light on your situation. Many you will find will quite happily send you details of past clients with testimonials and case studies backing up their claims. This is a great way to build confidence in the person you are using as you will be able to see their history of past successes.

When you are working with a search engine optimization specialist, make sure that you are working with the best!

Drive Free Traffic To Your Website By Writing Articles

One of the best ways to drive traffic to your website is by writing articles. Getting your own articles written, distributed and published on the Internet is one of the very best Internet marketing techniques in existence.

Once you have become an author of an article, you become an instant authority. When visitors locate and read your article they could obtain some useful information from it. They would most probably appreciate you. When appreciation turns into trust, it is very likely that would click the link in your article resource box to visit your website to get more information.

Chances of them signing up with you in one of your recommended business opportunities or buy one of your recommended products would be greatly enhanced.

The question is how to write the relevant articles which might demand some of your effort and time?

If you are good in writing and enjoy doing it, you might decide to write your own articles. Otherwise you could join an article cooperative to get access to private label articles OR hire someone to write articles for you.

Let?s discuss the differences of these 3 possibilities:

1) Do Your Own Research and Write Your Own Articles.
The main advantage of writing your own articles is that it’s “free” and it would give you a sense of pride in accomplishment. You might enjoy writing articles to share your experience in Internet online business. The downside is that it’d take up some of your time to conduct some research work.

2) Join An Article Cooperative to Get Pre-written Articles.
A recommended article cooperative is InfoGoRound where you could get hundreds of pre-written articles for a small enrollment fee. From these you could choose those discussing subjects related to the content of your website. These are referred to as the “Private label articles? which you have full permission to use and also add your own name and article resource box to the article as the author.

3) Hire Someone to Write Articles For You.
If you are not comfortable writing your own articles or if you find it too much a hassle especially when you’re new to this business or if you do not fancy pre-written articles due to lack of originality, you could use an article ghost writing service such as Just Articles to put your own ideas into writing.

For a relatively small fee you can get your articles written very quickly.

For article marketing on the Internet, articles written with between 400-700 words would suffice. It goes without saying that your articles must be relevant to your Internet business. Hence topic of your articles should be related to: “working at home”, “home based business”, “Internet marketing”, “making money online”, “promoting a website”, etc.

The next question is how can you ensure that your articles will reach the maximum amount of potential web visitors?

Below are some routes you can use:

1) Submit to Article Directories
The best place to submit your articles are Article Directories. Many publishers of websites, blogs, and ezines visit the sites of these Directories. Hence your articles will be quickly exposed to people who have a large amount of traffic.

2) Submit to Article Lists/Newsletters
The next step is to submit your articles to article lists such as newsletters on Yahoo and Topica. Articles from such sources are normally better received by publishers. Hence when a submission is done by you via an article list, publishers have more confidence in your articles and would very likely use them.

3) Approach Individual Related Websites
Many Websites focus on providing valuable information and educational materials to their readers. You could submit your articles to these sites if your articles are relevant to what they need. It is best that you only contact sites where the readers would have an interest in the topic of your article.

4) Search Through Ezine Directories
Once your articles have been submitted to directories and article lists as mentioned earlier, you could start contacting individual publishers such as the publishers of ezines that are related to your topic. Choose those who accept articles and write to them and convince them that your articles would be of value for their purpose.

5) Give The Articles to Your New Affiliate members
To help your affiliates especially the newly “recruited” ones, you could give them your articles as a way to help promote your site. They could either publish them as they are or they could substitute your link with theirs in the resource box of the article. They would be impressed by such generous gesture from you.

In conclusion, submitting your articles and getting them re-published on others’ websites and newsletters/ezines is one of the most powerful Internet marketing strategies. Your articles will then start working as a free advertisement for you forever. And you do not have to pay even a dime for such advertising space. You will continue to enjoy free traffic driven to your website for a long, long time!

Your husband loves sports but that was 5 years ago. Again, sell it on Tuesday. Hunt down those baseball cards and sports gears he kept in his closet.

Sign board announcement: Sports stuff on sale!
Now are you having a clearer picture of what I?m trying to paint? You could sell different kinds of stuff on different days. That would make your garage a bit more interesting.

2. Food for Thought ? ?Sweet. Spicy. Sour.?

Cooking can be very consuming. But if your hands were made for it, then try the catering business. Supply food for gatherings like parties, anniversaries, meetings, etc. If you?re also good with pastries, then convert your garage or a part of your house into a mini caf
